LVWC Wrestlers to Compete at 2017 US World Team Trials

LVWC Athletes to Compete at U.S. World Team Trials

The best wresters in the country are descending on Lincoln, Nebraska this weekend with the goal of earning a spot on the U.S World Team. The U.S Junior World Team Trails will be held first on Friday June 9th, followed by the Senior division on Saturday June 10th. More detailed schedule below.

Athletes Representing the Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club

Junior Division
Two freshman will be competing on Friday after qualifying for the World Team Trials at the US Open in Las Vegas earlier this year. Nick Farro (60kg) will be completing after a 5th place finish at the Open and Jordan Wood (120kg) will be looking for revenge after a tough loss in the finals in Las Vegas. Joining the freshman pair, sophomore Andrew Price (84kg) will be vying for a place on the U.S. Junior World Team.

Senior Division
2017 NCAA Champion Darian Cruz (57kg) will be competing at the Senior level joining LVWC Resident Athletes Zach Rey and Mario Mason. Zach Rey (125kg) will be looking to pick up momentum after earning a silver in Vegas and Mario Mason (65kg) recently earned a spot after winning the last chance qualifier in Rochester, MN last month.
